BusinessWire's M. BeckerMichael Becker, the 27-year old Global Disclosure Services Manager of Business Wire, the world’s largest commercial newswire service, was in India recently to announce a news distribution agreement with business2media, an IPAN initiative in association with the PTI and Bloomberg. Business Wire operates through a network of over 60 international and national newswires, financial information providers and web-based news services throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. It is recognized by leading stock exchanges and regulatory agencies around the world including NASDAQ and UK's Financial Services Authority and boasts of a clientele comprising Intel, IBM, Phillip Morris to name a few.

This arrangement will allow Indian companies to access a global audience through Business Wire’s expansive distribution network. In turn, Business Wire and it’s regional reciprocal office Asia Wire will be provided access to an online community of 3,500 Indian journalists and investors and leading Indian news portals including MSN India, ZDNet India and Indiainfo.com. A graduate in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, Becker believes there is immense growth potential for the business in India, with the government laying greater emphasis on corporate disclosure norms.
