CALENDAR GIRL

This French-Canadian-Indian beauty is the latest sizzling import to hit the glamour world. The girl from Vancouver, Mia Udeya, not only stars in Himesh Reshammiya's newest video, but has also been hand-picked for the forthcoming edition of the Kingfisher Swimsuit calendar. Says photographer Atul Kasbekar: "It's one thing to be in good shape and quite another to be in perfect swimsuit shape." Here's a girl poised to do swimmingly well.

In Full Bloom

Following her critically acclaimed performance in Matrubhumi, actor Tulip Joshi skipped the film radar. Laid up due to a back injury, Joshi is now healed and raring to go with a multiple film deal with Sanjay Gupta's White Feather Films. The Yash Raj find, who debuted in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi, will soon be seen in Shunya starring Naseeruddin Shah. It's "bloom" time again for this pretty girl.

ON HER TOES

You may not be able to remember the films she's done, but starlet Neha Dhupia makes sure she is in the spotlight. After making a song appearance in Garam Masala, the actress is all set to do an item number for producer Mahendra Dhariwal's Nehle Pe Dehla. Dhupia, who did the number on T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar's behest, says the song has been shot "aesthetically". The film has been in the pipeline for the last four years and it looks like the producers are hoping Dhupia's shimmying will help it make it to the silver screen. Dance on baby.

Cash For Ash

Here's one parcel Aishwarya Rai will want to return to the sender. The former Miss World was reportedly sent a package containing ¤23,000 (Rs 13.34 lakh) that was intercepted by the customs department when it remained unclaimed. While Rai is maintaining a stoic silence, Mumbai Customs Commissioner A.K. Prasad is digging for his money's worth. "The parcel came from The Netherlands and was sent to an address where she does not live permanently. It's clear that an illegality has been committed but we have to find out if she was involved," he says. Watch this space for more dough.
