LEADERSHIP SECRETS
Passion Makes All The
DifferenceBy Antoine

Leadership, in a nutshell, is like a
good pizza. A pizza requires three essential ingredients: the ability to
knead dough, the ability to mix toppings, and the passion to do both.
The 'dough' makes up the base. Every dream
needs it, every brand needs it, and every employee needs it. A good pizza
depends on the texture of the dough. Likewise, the values and cash
management, which form the foundation of any business, determine what goes
into a good company. Business is about making money, and if you aren't
making money you shouldn't be in business.
Leadership is letting your team know that
every action has a direct impact on the cashflow. A significant aspect of
leadership is the need for transparent cash management systems. This will
clearly indicate that the company's destiny lies in the hands of its
employees.
An important attribute of a pizza chef is his
ability to mix and match toppings. Similarly, a good leader should be able
to blend his ideas and strategies for his company's growth, and mould his
people to become the leaders of the future. Great leaders are not born,
they are nurtured to take over from their predecessors. A leader must have
a vision. That is the only recipe for success.
Serve your pizza with passion. A leader must
have passion for his work. He has to inspire his people to achieve the
impossible and beyond the call of duty. Passion is contagious. It is a
force to reckon with.
The next time you have any leadership
trouble, zip out and grab a pizza. You may just end up learning a thing or
two.
