Incubator Glossary Incubator: An
organisation that helps start-ups develop in an accelerated fashion by
providing them with a bundle of services such as physical space, capital,
coaching, common services, and networking connections. Accelerator:
Similar to an incubator. Some accelerators claim that they are different
from traditional incubators because they help in specialising in helping
companies that are further along than young start-ups. Virtual incubator:
An incubator that does not provide physical space to incubatees. Incubatee:
Start-up teams or companies that are located in an incubator or are
nurtured by a virtual incubator. Graduate: An
incubatee that has left the physical space of its incubator or no longer
receives common services from its incubator. Hatching time: The number of months an incubatee spends in the incubator. |
