E-PEOPLE
e-vacationsFive
years ago, Vinay Talwar, now 42, was among the first to offer Web-hosting
and e-biz consulting services. Today, the CEO of Vital Communications is
focusing his efforts on being your on-line travel agent. His eponymously-named
site, www.chhuti.com, won't just help you choose your destination (within
India), it can even help you book your tickets and accommodation. All
on-line. Now, isn't that a bit like mixing business with pleasure...
e-browsing
He plans to amazon the competition
with, what else, a bookstore, www.firstandsecond.com. G.B.S. Bindra's
credentials to do so are impeccable: a stint as Quark India's President,
and another as CEO, Infogain. Sheer range and the fact that it is the
first dedicated Indian on-line bookstore (the hidden promise: quicker
delivery) should, hopes the 34-year-old Bindra, help his baby book serious
profits...
e-conomy
At 34, and with 15 sites including
mapsofindia.com and 123india.com, Simirprit Singh, who touts content as
his area of expertise, considers himself further enough up the experience
curve to launch a portal on the Indian economy, economywatch.com. The
portal claims to cover just about everything to do with economy. Now, will
that make economic sense?
e-freebies
He's counting on most people being
suckers for free stuff. Candid Marketing's Director, Samarjit Singh, 28,
is the man behind www.freekamaal.com, a site where you become eligible for
free stuff by just viewing a company's promotions a specified number of
times. Didn't get that? Well, it is something like a membership rewards
programme. Call it free per use... |
