Health Studio: From pre-natal exercises to kick-boxing

It prides itself on being the only 'complete' fitness centre in Chennai. Located in the city's Nungambakkam borough, it offers-apart from the usual aerobics and weight training-Western dance classes, kick-boxing, as well as pre-natal exercise regimen for women, which are all quite a hit with the members.
Membership Fee: Rs 1,500 per month.

 

Reebok Fitness Club: Showcase place

Reebok Fitness Club, Delhi
This one at Vasant Vihar, Delhi, is a showcase gym for footwear maker Reebok which plans to roll out similar clubs countrywide. Spread across 5,000 square feet and three floors, the gym is both sleek and compact. You can work out under the watchful eyes of three Reebok-trained instructors. Each of the four state-of-the-art treadmills have individual TV sets and headphones so that you can work out to your own music.

It is aimed at executives, and Reebok offers attractive corporate packages as well.
Membership Fee: Rs 2,990 per month

Equilibrium: Options aplenty

Equilibrium, Mumbai
Workouts can't get any better. A sweeping view of the Arabian Sea and a multitude of training options to choose from. Equilibrium is easily the biggest gym in Mumbai and is equipped with the latest machines imported from the US. It also offers classes for kick-boxing, salsa and "filmi-fit" dance. For those not-so-athletically inclined, there's also a café, and a beauty salon where you can rub shoulders with the who's who of Mumbai society.
