SONY NETWORK WALKMAN
This player allows you to transfer internet downloads and recordings from your CDs and connect to a USB port for high-speed data transfer. It can provide 240 minutes of music or 128 MB space with its MagicGate hardware. It plays back in the atrac3 format developed by Sony but it also supports mp3, windows media audio and wav.
Price: Rs 14,400

SONY COLOR CLIE
This convergence gadget can take pictures with the built-in CMOs camera, play MP3 files, display videos and images, plus keep your datebook and contact list organised. There's even a built-in qwerty keyboard for faster data entry. The swivel LCD design allows the screen to flip and rotate 180 degrees to allow optimum use of the camera and keyboard.
Price: Rs 29,400

NOKIA MUSIC PLAYER HDR-1
This music player is compatible with all Nokia phones. It can be used as an fm tuner, a digital audio player, and a handsfree phone that recognises voice commands to dial numbers not on the calling list. At the moment, it has just 32 MB of ram to store mp3 music files, but the company is soon planning to launch a player with lots more memory. The transfer rate with Nokia's Audio Manager is about 1/8th of the playing time. It can be used as a stand-alone player as well.

C-PEN 600
It's a pocket-sized, hand-held computer that combines a miniature digital camera and optical character recogniser with Intel StrongArm processor. The product works as an electronic highlighter. It scans to remember printed text and barcodes. Weighs 80 grams and scans text at 100 characters per second and stores upto 2,000 pages.
Price: Rs 12,000

SONY NET MD WALKMAN
You can record mp3s or CDs at upto 32x speed and use the affordable MD Media for over five hours of music on one 80-minute disc. It also uses the atrac3 format and supports multiple internet audio formats. You can enjoy upto 56 hours of music on just one AA battery.
Price: Rs 14,440
